All Saints'

All Saints Church, Coddington has national significance due to its associations with Constance Penswick Smith, who is the founder of the revival of Mothering Sunday. The mid -19th Century church restoration used the services of leading lights in the Art and Craft Movement - Ed. Bodley, Wm Morris, Burne-Jones et al. The church is mentioned in Simon Jenkins’ Book ‘1000 Best Churches to Visit’.

The building and grounds are well managed and maintained, the fabric and fittings are in good order and financially the church is able to meet its current commitments. There are plans to provide toilet facilities and refurbishments within the church, looking towards the 150th anniversary (2015) of the Bodley restorations. There are important future maintenance issues but the church has life and a developing role within the village, parish and area.
